Peter is making Dinos to help his puppy, Oliver.

Oliver is sick. Peter, 13, is doing what he can — one handmade toy at a time.

We're the Smiths.

We're not a shelter or a big organization. We're a family with a puppy who got sick, and a kid who decided to help.

Here's the whole story
Peter making a green Dino by hand

How it works

A toy with a reason.

  1. 1

Peter makes the Dino. The same soft dinosaur he and his parents first made for Oliver.

  2. 2

You get a real toy. A handmade Dino, in green, tan, or orange, for your own dog.

  3. 3

Oliver gets help. Purchases help the Smith family cover Oliver's veterinary care.

A note

From Our Family

Dear friends,

When Oliver came into our lives, none of us could have imagined how quickly he would become part of our family. But for Peter, it was almost immediate. From the very beginning, Oliver was more than his puppy. He was his best friend.

One of the first things Peter wanted to do for Oliver was make him something of his own. With a little help from us, that became a small green dinosaur. Nothing fancy. Just something made with love for a puppy Peter adored.

Oliver loved it.

That little green Dino went everywhere with him, and seeing how happy it made Oliver meant the world to Peter.

When Oliver became sick, Peter knew we were worried. He knew there were vet visits, difficult conversations, and bills we were trying to figure out. Then one day, he came to us with an idea: what if we made more Dinos for other dogs, and used the money to help Oliver?

That simple idea is how Smith Family Rescue began.

What started with friends and family has become something much bigger than we ever expected. Every person who orders a Dino is helping give us more time, more options, and more hope for Oliver.

But you are also giving Peter something that is hard to put into words. Instead of feeling helpless while his best friend is sick, he gets to wake up knowing there is something he can do for him.

Thank you for being part of that.

Whether you take home a Dino, share Oliver's story, or simply keep our family in your thoughts, please know how much it means to all of us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping Peter help his best friend.

With love and gratitude,
